It’s like they trying to thread the needle between old tumblr everyone loved that allowed for whatever kink you wanted and appearing on the up and up for investors.

it’s really inconsistent. the barely-veiled transphobic moderation team will tag a face selfie as mature if it’s of a trans woman, but will not touch an explicit video of a different trans woman dressed as ralsei deltarune fucking a pumpkin

Even more hilarious when you are trans and transitioning. And what point in my transition do my nipples become female presenting? Tumblr can’t answer that question, it is weirdly affirming and offensive at the same time, but they do like to auto flag my flower photography as NSFW and it takes ages to appeal. Tumblr is run by a skeleton crew of people with no brains at all.

It was the phrasing they used when they implemented the porn ban. Super woke phrasing while also pushing incredibly sex-negative/unwoke policy. Extremely Tumblr moment.

I wonder if tumblr would also consider artistic nudity to immediately be pornographic, just because it’s a furry. I don’t know why it seems to be a thing on a lot of social medias, maybe the way that algorithm works.

Sometimes I feel like I would have much easier time being accepted if I drew more “sophisticated” normie art, but at the same time it’s good opsec both for hiding my identity more and functioning as a screening tool for reactionaries.

And the tumblr users keep finding new ways to keep the website unprofitable (-30 million a year). Every time Tumblr tries to introduce a new feature or policy change they riot and make it their sole mission to destroy it. They introduced corporate and government accounts and tumblr users shunned them so they left. They introduced tipping as a feature, that got removed. They tried live video streams, and users successfully made it so advertisers did not want anything to do with it. They purposely crash the website by scheduling posts all at the same time and the website can’t handle it. I honestly respect it. It is really funny.

doggirl-lol Become ungovernable moment. As much as I hate tumblr, I also love tumblr moments like these, the advertisers have no fucking clue what tumblr users want, and tumblr is so desperate for cash they do not have any quality standards for adverts. It’s great.
