Fucking THANK YOU! I despise this so much. The worst part about this is that it seems to either be all some developers are in on, a sort of unending slog that is absolutely miserable to play through until you “master” it, or games for baby brains that walk you through every single facet of the game without ever stopping.

I just want good RPGs and linear story telling games. I don’t want to have to be killed 64 times in an effort to just get out of the first stage before I even get to the boss and then have to watch 3 different youtube videos specifically telling me how to kill him because he keeps 1-shotting me.

Yeah I am. I want to basically knock everything out in this game I can without driving myself completely insane. I don’t think I’m going to get to the end of the tower. I keep dying towards the end of floor 3 no matter what I do.

I also don’t really understand what the fuck happened during the ending so I’m hoping it’ll help flesh some things out. Don’t tell me if you know.

Absolute Wonder Woman is incredible, and still going strong. I’m about as far from an art lover as possible, but I legitimately want jumbo framed prints of some of the pages from Absolute Martian Manhunter. Something about the art in this book speaks to me in a way I can’t describe other than “wow this is gorgeous”. I don’t think the story is nearly as good, mostly because its a been a very slow burn so far, but the books themselves are incredibly well done. Green Lantern is, well, something. I honestly have no idea where they’re going with the story and the characters at this point. Flash is a little less abstract and the art is pretty good. All of them are worth a read if you’re sailing the seas. I wouldn’t buy Flash or GL.

Still playing Returnal. I finally beat the final boss guy/thing and then I found out I have to play through the whole thing all over again, possibly multiple times, to get the REAL ending. God damn it.

For me this is the defining problem I get from my long covid. I describe it to doctors constantly as feeling like a rechargeable battery that’s out of juice. No one has any fucking answers as to why this is. I can’t even find the energy to exercise any longer and I used to LOVE doing that. Life has become an endless slog with no means of escape other than death.

Today I hate this game with the fire of 1000 suns so I doubt anyone would want to hear me scream obscenities at the tv repeatedly.

Still working on Returnal. Finally got halfway through the game and that felt like a mission from God. Its so good and so god damn aggravating at the same time.

I honestly don’t remember where I saw it but there was some white woman yelling in the background “he’s a citizen! he’s a citizen!” while this poor bastard was getting gang tackled by around 8 different ICE thugs. Everyone else was hanging around and filming or running out of the way.

Working my way through my PS+ sub I decided to finally try out Returnal. I’m not used to these types of shooting games and this is absolutely kicking my ass. The gameplay is pretty interesting and the look and sound of the game are awesome. Coupled with the sci-fi element and you’ve got yourself a winner.

All of our problems will be solved with another peaceful protest.

The video of the ICE raids in Chicago yesterday (or today I can’t remember honestly) should immediately disabuse you of the notion that this strategy will ever bear meaningful fruit.

Found out that here in S. FL, Costco is holding off on all Covid vaccines until they have some kind of meeting about it later this month. So that’s not exactly promising. I know the CVS’ here are giving people hell about getting the shot. Things seem like they’re taking a turn for the worse around here about Covid and I honestly didn’t think that was possible.

Where are you getting this shit from? I’m literally referencing anecdotal vaccine reactions not peer reviewed papers. If you want to air your grievances on any of these issues then that’s fine, just please do it with someone else.

I certainly didn’t do that. I did say not to stress and to shoot for Novavax. Anecdotal evidence from social media tells us the MNRA vaccines tend to have harsher side effects vs. the protein based vaccines. Since this isn’t studied, its really all we have to go on. What they did study was the lasting effects of the previous vaccine. The Novavax was shown to last longer in the body (IIRC 6 months or so) vs. the MNRA (IIRC 4 months or so). Covid Twitter is awash in info about this. I have no idea why you think I’m trying fearmonger about this.

Wear a mask, get vaccinated, try to get Novavax, if you can’t get it get whichever one you can.

Correct. At least it did during the last round of vaccines. Of course, no one knows how the new vaccines will actually play out in the body, but Novavax has a strong track record of success and some studies have shown it being longer lasting. The 2x in 8 weeks was the guidance previously but I don’t believe they’ve published a specific guidance for this round as of yet.

No matter what vaccine you do get, wear an N95!

It is up to date but its the MRNA version either Moderna or Pfizer (I don’t know what Walgreens carries specifically.) Novavax is protein based, seems to have a longer lasing effect in the body, and shows fewer side effects.
