But you kitties are so cute! You’re hug shaped!
But you kitties are so cute! You’re hug shaped!
Khajiits make worse farm tools than Argonians, but a cute Khajiit can warm your bed and make a good teddy bear. They’re surprisingly pleasant when you ply them with some catnip.
Are you calling all Khajiits skooma addicts? Fuckin’ racist Nords… well, I know why you have to bribe drug addicts for hugs, maybe try treating the kitties with basic human decency and the ones who aren’t desperate for their next bottle of skooma might be nicer to you.
I sense a struggle session coming on…
But if you let the kitties stay in the inns, they’ll just knock everything off the tables! Cats gonna cat!
And the bear hugs. Pandas are so cute. But yeah, the food would be amazing.
“Welcome to The Tankie Website. Brick walls to argue with are just over here. Let us know when you’re ready to have a good faith discussion instead.”
Hexbears: Stronger than brick walls.
That should be a tagline. As should the comment you’re replying to.
Ah, yeah, that’s a neat way to do it if that’s the type of thing you like. I tend to enjoy things that are more “menus and spreadsheets, the game”, and so a controller makes for a simply horrible experience. Like, they’re unwieldy enough with the precise pointing you get with a mouse, and keyboard shortcuts, controllers and complex menuing don’t mix.
Yep, compatibility layers can be real pains. Count yourself lucky all that’s broken is controller mapping.
Yeah, I can think of like one or two PC games out of my whole collection that it makes sense to use a controller with, and they’re both fine with mouse and keyboard, enough that I don’t feel the need to get a controller just for that. Now, if I were to end up with one someone was getting rid of, or pick one up dirt cheap gently used, I’d use it, but I don’t feel the need to go looking for one.
When it comes to the overall experience, I massively prefer PC gaming, it’s just a much better experience for 95% of what I like to play, but as far as the sensory experience, I do really like certain console controllers for their shape in my hands and the button presses. And if you’re going to play a shooter game, or really anything with decent combat and good ranged options, something more like an actual trigger than a mouse button to fire does feel really good. (And force sensitive buttons and sticks from older systems are just the best. Mashing the crap out of a button that feels crazy good to press is just peak sensory experience.)
Well, see, you can’t teach communism to people who can’t read and comprehend a paragraph, so in a lot of the Anglosphere, you’d have to start with basic education in the first place, before you could start on political re-education…
A lot of how we view children often feels to me like… the patriarchy still grants men a lot of power over women, despite progress made to end the legal and social view of women as literally chattel property, but the arguments that we understand now were ridiculous and wrong for viewing and treating women as property, are still being used to justify considering teenagers and children to be property. So yeah, we need to eliminate gender power dynamics as well as restructure how families work and the legal status of children and their available options for addressing abuse.
Everything about living in capitalism is disorienting.
Yeah, they do have a tendency to be just a little off and make the more moderate paths feel more fun. But, y’know, I like council communist type paths and I also like “glory to the party” tropes. The sillier it gets, the funnier.
Any good political game needs both good leftist paths and Red Scare trope filled “tankie” vanguardist paths! I personally rather enjoy both!
Ah, that’s not so fun, then. I do wonder if those war hawks in strategic command are the same way about things like Hearts of Iron as lower rank and file can get about the war games where you directly operate pieces of military equipment…
“You send us trash, we send you trash.” I love it.
Now I wish civilians could get our hands on military simulations. But then, the HOI players and the War Thunder types are bad enough with that, giving them something more realistic would be a Bad Idea… I just want to nuke the entire Anglosphere and see what happens!
Hey, Britain, you guys fancy a game of Global Thermonuclear War? Lol.
Okay, maybe I shouldn’t have said that in those words… the point is, treat the cats with respect, and they won’t hate you as much!
