So my dad’s in the hospital, it’s nothing too major he got pneumonia again, he gets it often. Anyway last night I talked to him on the phone and he was fine, he still didn’t get moved into a room from the ER. This morning I called back to see how he was doing and what are the odds someone with the same first name as my dad picked up the phone and sounded just awful like they were drunk and dying. I could barely understand them then the phone hung up scared So I called back the ER and got the switchboard, sure enough wrong person, they transferred me to my dad who was upstairs in a room eating breakfast. Phew, now I feel bad about waking up the obviously sick and hurting person and confusing them on the phone that I was their son catgirl-cry

I had a semi similar experience when I got a severe thrombosis (and a little bit of clots in my lungs, yay) where I had the same name of a schizophrenic person in crisis who had surgery at the same place two days earlier and who ran away from the hospital before finishing healing.

I had to repeat a lot of time to the ER that I had not receive a surgery in the past days and we both got confused until they checked birth dates.

But your experience must have been very frightful, I’m relieved for the outcome. And I hope this other guy gets better.
