There’s no way the first cat is real. Just look at the size of the face. In fact, the others are iffy at best also.

Yeah, the first one looks fake. The others look real to me. Notice that the cats are generally being stretched or scrunched to look bigger in whatever dimension, and the second girl is holding the cat out, closer to the camera than she is.

What I actually came here to say is that I’m delighted that in every single one, the owner is pleased and proud of the cat for being so wonderful, and the cat is annoyed like “what the fuck lady put me down I don’t like this.”

Bottom left is super weird. Second girl yeah, old school camera trickery. Bottom right, the depth of field looks wrong. That’s not how focus is supposed to fall off. The cat’s head is sharp and close to the girl’s, but hers is out of focus.

Could this be the world’s fattest cat? Janet Ciminelli of North Shore Animal League of America in Long Island, New York, holds Garfield, a 40lb feline. The obese cat was brought into the animal rescue centre after his owner passed away. Staff have put him on a diet and are looking for a new owner who is committed to helping him become healthy and active.Picture: Laurentiu Garofeanu / Barcroft USA Credit: Laurentiu Garofeanu / Barcroft USA
