You could use an RSS reader like Newsboat. ESPN and plenty of other sites maintain RSS feeds

Edit: I just realized this is an android community, so instead of Newsboat use an Android equivalent

  thanks I thought about this but I prefer an app that also displays live scores nicely. Until then I will have to conform with RSS I guess
