Well most of china’s production is for countries outside itself so the pollution of that production is for the consumption of other nations. Also their population is the highest in the world, so to feed their domestic population’s needs It will naturally produce more polution. Considering these factors makes their past and current pollution not sound so bad.
To be even more based, they are looking to the future so now that the factory of the world is going to have a more environmentally friendly production of energy domestically. This will result in more environmentally friendly production for all goods produced globally. I hope they spread more ecologically friendly technology production through the belt and road initiative to develop wealth in an ecologically sound manner.
