Unfortunately, federation for software forges is still in its earliest days. There is an ActivityPub extension called ForgeFed that’s implemented by Vervis and Forgejo (the gitea fork that Codeberg is based on), but it is still far from feature complete.

Come on, das ist jetzt aber auch extrem indifferenziert. Der entstandene Shitstorm basiert im Wesentlichen auf drei Faktoren:

• in den contribution guidelines wird erwähnt, dass das Repository kein Austragungsort für persönliche Ideologie und Politik ist
• Diese PR wurde mit o.g. Begründung abgelehnt - wohlgemerkt nicht vom Hauptentwickler Kling. Später hat Kling wohl sogar zugegeben, dass er anders entschieden hätte.
• Das Projekt nutzt noch die alte git-Nomenklatur mit “master” als default-branch.

Diese Punkte kann man jetzt schlimm finden, weisen aber sicherlich niemanden als Rassisten, transphob etc. aus. Keiner der Entwickler wurde meines Wissens durch offen trans-, frauen-, oder sonst irgendwie menschenfeindliche Äußerungen auffällig. Ist also m. E. etwas voreilig, das gesamte Projekt zu verteufeln.
