I actually think things are much calmer here than the more mainstream communities like Facebook or Reddit.
I’ll say it again: I’m concerned about the wildlife. the leopards are going to die of morbid obesity.
Because if anybody would have a relevant take on this, it’s Florida’s attorney general.
This shouldn’t be relevant but actually yea, ax has a good point. Plenty of people don’t really understand things that aren’t part of a big brand online.
Credit unions don’t have shareholders. They face totally different pressures.
Russia SHOULD NOT starve out before ukraine, but look at the ratio of money coming in vs going out in russia vs ukraine. Also, Putin has guaranteed the issue is unfixable as he surrounds himself with yes men, while Zelensky has a leaner operation that involves skilled people who can offer opposing information without the threat of defenestration.
Well, one of the reasons Siri sucks so terribly is Apple refused to do the mass surveillance data scraping google was doing, so they didn’t have enormous data sets to train Siri on. Second, Apple lets you turn their AI functions on and off system-wide with a simple toggle, where as google lets to chip away at gemini but never actually turn it off.
Paypal has a reputation for this kind of thing from before Trump 2.0 though. They’ve ben doing this since at least 2003.
there are several ways to do this. it depends on the software and the operating system the client is running on which make sense. There is also a way to fake it if you create a catalogue of commonly used apps with VPNs, then have the VPN client launch them with command line arguments, but thats not really a flawless way to do it, just compatible
The end game doesn’t involve having customers at all. The rich think they just wont need an economy anymore once their slaves die off and automation and AI replace them all.
They wont be able to help themselves though. They will get bored and start eating eachother.
I guess everything went down the same path Second Life did.
You know what? I’m going to buy some yaoi on steam out of spite. Spite yaoi.
This cuts both ways actually. you can have 10 guys going through a drive thru or one 1 making 10 stops. The one guy making ten stops results in less traffic and fewer emissions.
Yes. It’s yes. They have been able to achieve devastating damage on Moscow for quite a while now I’d imagine. Not enough to wipe it off the map but certainly enough to prove a point.
That’s not the real question Trump is asking though. He’s actually asking Zelenskyy to explain international politics to him. Trump doesn’t understand the potential backlash Ukraine faces if they are seen as crossing a line. Zelensky is being very reserved with this. He’s playing the long game. He’s planning it out. He’s letting Russia flail about and starve itself. And Trump is just a colossal dumbfuck who can’t possibly understand not doing the most impulsive, reckless and expensive thing possible.
PayPal wouldn’t dare attack Steam for accepting external payment methods with rules they don’t agree with and can’t change because they don’t own those companies. In addition to opening them up to potential lawsuits, it could catastrophically backfire if Valve simply said “fine, we don’t accept PayPal anymore, but we do accept crypto now.”
PayPal would die in a week. The investors would drag out a guillitine by the next earnings call.
I’d imagine it’s sort of like reading porn rather than watching porn. Different people are activated by different things.
I want grapheneOS, with full tap to pay support, intact root protections, on a z fold7. That is literally all I want. That would get me off Apple.
-connects to I2P- -goes to ramble- “This is the best thing that nobody uses”
