I just never set mine up so when you call me and I predicably don’t answer, it just says “This user has a mailbox that has not been set up yet. Please try your call again later.” What I’d rather it say is “Hang up and text me like a normal person. If you can’t text me, I don’t want to hear from you anyway.”
My vote was for Godot but this one is a very close second. I even have it installed on my mobile Firefox instance.
Posting before reading because activity. Godot Engine, hands down. I used Unity for years and years and now that Godot 4.x is out, I’ll probably never use Unity again. Unless it’s for a job or something like that. All personal projects tho… I could probably make a game in Godot while waiting for Unity to start up.

I don’t know a lot about networking. I’ve only attempted and failed to make some small multiplayer games. But, I think that if you were in a position to actually have users with compromised systems, you’d also be in a position to hire an expert to close the breach. Maybe I’m wrong. But to me it seems like worrying about licensing fees. If you actually need to pay them, you’re doing way better than the average indie and probably have the means to take care of them.
We door dash for extra money. If not for tips, it wouldn’t be worth it. They do offer an hourly rate if you choose to take it vs being paid per order but I’m not sure how that all works, we always take the per order pay.
The federal minimum wage for tipped workers is $2.13/hr. Basically nothing. It wouldn’t cover your gas cost to go to work in most cases.
Of course no one said anything. That would be rude. But not tipping your server is very much an asshole move, foreign or not. Those service industry workers rely on the tips because their wages are basically nothing. I agree that they should be paid a fair wage but that’s just not how it works here in the US.

Well, one solution seems fairly obvious. Have a drink or two to lower inhibitions and loosen up but be careful with that one. Super easy to overdo it.
What about having a get together someplace more private? Your place or a friend’s.

I’ve been trying to focus on ones that have quests, so I have a clear path to follow. But it seems like, if there’s quests, there a bajillion quests which is also overwhelming. I’ve made some custom modpacks and those suffer even worse because I have no clear goals. After you’ve put a few thousand hours in a game, it gets hard to define any achievable goals that you’ve not done yet.
I switched over a few months ago. It works great! Not having to worry about the bill is very nice.
I have this with big Minecraft modpacks. Sometimes I just get overwhelmed with all the stuff to do, and I get none of it done. I wonder if it’s related to ADHD or autism. I’ve not been diagnosed with either because I avoid doctors like the plague but when you check literally every box for a disease… Welp.

As the other commentor said, ebay is a good place to look for such things but don’t search the part numbers. Search the model number of your device. Get the model number as specific as possible. Sometimes there’ll be a model number printed on the outside or on the box it came in, and that number is like a customer facing model number with a different model number that the manufacturer goes by. Like you’ll have a Samsung Note 8 and that sounds like the model, right? But in reality, it’s a SM-428Z-J12 or something. That’s the model number you want to search. Do some research on your device to get the right one.
Yep, thinking and research are all well and good but you cannot reach any kind of potential until you start doing.
