Try LibreOffice instead. Or one of these.
cyborganism@piefed.cato Linux@programming.dev•The year of the European Union Linux desktop may finally arriveEnglish25·8 days agoYou clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. You have no idea how much the Linux desktop experience has improved just in the past 10, or even 5 years. There’s been LEAPS in advancement and Windows compatibility. It gets easier to use by the day. And Steam deciding to use Linux for its gaming devices is one proof of that.
In addition, this adoption means there will be much higher demand for new features and functionality, and potentially greater bug discovery. And there will be an increased involvement in the development and improvement from European countries to achieve these goals. Which will lead to an even faster growth and improvement of Linux in general.

I built a whole build automation system that used what would be the equivalent of a Docker container for the build system, and it was distributed across the whole company to make simultaneous build in parallel and a system that would check how many build systems were in use or available with a queueing system.
All written in Bash, Perl and Python.

Yeah the conservatives have fucked up our whole public care system. They bottleneck and sabotage to make it look like it’s not working, while subsidizing the private side at 100x the cost.

Back in my day we forwarded X over SSH. Which was the style at the time.

I’ll have to learn how to configure Wayland in case shit hits the fan. I also wonder how that will affect remote ssh X forwarding, or NVIDIA drivers.

But I also like to recommend Kubuntu. You can’t go wrong with these two. They’re hassle free, stable and when vulnerabilities are announced, they’re practically never affected because they use slightly older and tried and tested software versions.
Unfortunately, using the command line is something you will have to learn. But as far as Proton VPN goes, you just have to copy and paste. It’s a no brainer. I use all their products on Linux and it works well.

Hyprland is a compositor, not a desktop environment.
I’m taking advantage of the steam summer sale to basically re-buy most of my Switch games for PC at cheap prices just for that.
