Basically countries like Iraq or Lebanon, the divison of Kurdistan etc. have no historical, cultural or economic basis. Instead they were designes to create unstable or easily destabilizable countries. The same was done in most areas of Africa or with the way India and Pakistan were divided
Contrary to Israeli lies UNIFIL is fullfilling their mandate as best as is possible in the given limits. eing shot at by Israel certainly doesn’t help.
UNIFIL conducted 18 Patrols a day looking for illegal weapons in the area in the period from February to June. They removed multiple Hezbollah weapons caches.
They also dilligently monitored fire from both sides in the area, with an overwhelming majority being Israeli attacks. This also explains why Israel is eager to remove UNIFIL monitoring capeabilities.

If the UNIFIL mandate was expanded to include proactive fighting, it would be against Israels interests as the majority of breaches of resolution 1701 are coming from the Israeli side.
For Germany at least weapons are in part sold and in part gifted as military aid.
I dont think the EU as institution does, but probably some other EU countries also gift weapons.
In regards to Ukraine the thing is that production is limited. So anything that is useful to Ukraine but instead sold to Israel is a preventable opportunity loss for Ukraine.
Muslims at large dont care about opposition to Jews. Muslims and Jews lived together quite well, until Israel came into existence.
An united Ummah is not a threat to Jews or Christians. It is a threat to the US, Russia, China, India and others with aspirations of global power.
If you look at the history of how Northern Africa and West Asia were shifted from a colonial rule to a post colonial rule, it was done in a way to deliberately destabilize the regions. That is what Israel is so crucial to the US for.
Thank you. That is a good example.
The western articles are deliberately vague, so as to not get into legal trouble.
https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/19/politics/us-israel-iran-intelligence-documents/index.html
Another document says it is sourced to the National Security Agency and outlines Israeli air force exercises involving air-to-surface missiles, also believed to be in preparation for a strike on Iran. CNN is not quoting directly from or showing the documents.
But it is clear, that these leaks must have contained some more detailed information of how strong the strikes are planned to be, which weapon systems are planned to be used and so on.
For the “when” that is always flexible within reason.
At the ICC it is not about genocide though. It is about specific war crimes. The “objection” by Germany was also not about qualifying what happened, but something procedural along the lines of saying there shouldn’t be a prosecution while there still is war. Which of course is equally absurd.
When i read extravagant trips, i expected to go to some Carribean Islands, or hiking in Nepal or something like that. Going to some Plastic corporate identity hellhole does not seem extravagant to me, although it is probably much more expensive in terms of Costs/Experience.
They opened the process up for “comments and objections”. Israels allies like Germany flooded the court with “comments and objections” that have to be worked through, before deciding on the warrant.
None of the governments between the Netanyahu governments, his first one started in 1996 after Rabin got assassinated by a Likud fanatic, ever stopped the settlement expansion.
So while they maybe talked about a two state solution, they continued to steal Palestinian land ,further undermining any possibility of a two state solution.
Israel has to drag the US into another great war before the election.
But instead of preventing that, the Biden administration stationed some more US soldiers in Israel, so that an escalation can hit some of them and give justification for the US to join in.
Thea leak is not the “that” it is the “when” and “how”, which in military context are extremely vital information.
It is always possible to stop allowing shipments of weapons. It is always possible to stop sending more money. It is always possible to stop vetoing UN security council resolutions. It is always possible to not make public statements of support.
Stopping your own actions is always possible. It may have ramifications, but the US full well knows, that it is the only reason Israel is not facing justice at the ICC and is made to stop the genocide. The US full well knows that all of its allies would follow suit, if it stopped supporting Israel. Many of their allies would prefer to do so, but are intimidated by the US threats.
The US would win a lot globally by stopping Israel and upholding a rule based international order for once. And the Democrats would win in a landslide on it, but they choose not to.
Israel is clearly not on the side of Ukraine, if it continues to buy Russian Oil and demanded Ukraine to surrender.
Also Israel sold military drones to Russia in 2015-2017, aiding Russian war efforts against Ukraine. Not that this was already after Russia started the war by annexing Crimea and fighting in Donetsk and Luhansk.
That is the critical point to understand. Neither Israel nor Iran are strictly aligned with one side. Russia and Iran were fighting over who gets the most influence on Assads regime, where Russia was happy with Israel bombing Iranian proxies in Syria.
Engineering formulas be like
“So there was this guy in 1896 and he did a bunch of trials and he figured out that a+b*x/c² is close enough to the real results, with values for a in range 1-2 and b in range 3-4. We still don’t understand why, or how he got there, but it worked ever since.”
Can we please stop judging politicians by their virtue signaling and look at their actions?
Also “not be scared of Netanyahu and AIPAC” is contradictory to “what she does in her second term, when she has nothing to lose.”
Either she isn’t scared and can do something now, or she is scared but wants to do something else, postponing it, or indeed she just agrees with what is done.
Also Biden is not up for reelection. Still what he does and doesn’t do speaks enough volumes to rebuild Gaza from those books.
Netanyahu should deliver himself to the ICC so he can be protected in custody, while awaiting his trial.
The lobbies of industries profiting from the destruction of the environment target both messages though:
“Ah you see, we are not there yet, got plenty of time” and “now it is too late anyways, why bother? Just enjoy what little luxury we can sell you for now.”
Meanwhile even people in areas struck by floods and storms with increased intensities and frequency directly linked to climate change still vote for denial or passivity instead of action.
