What do you mean? Kbin and lemmy are thriving?
What do you mean? Kbin and lemmy are thriving?
Threads look like hot garbage!
Remember lemmy.world is a huge instance with a influx of new users so you will get errors. Best to join a smaller instance so you have less issues
And when one of the tries to murder you don’t come crying to us. Violence is not the answer!
Kbin is the step-child, i’m assuming all the devs are seeing the growth in lemmy and haven’t really noticed kbin!
Liftoff, Connect, Thunder and wefwef , I think wefwef is having issues right now. still alpha but its really nice. i think devs are trying to stop hitting the api rate limit or something. wefwef is just like apollo but for android and ios
WTF! i been on lemmy for 2 weeks and this is my first time seeing this! Thanks
e: This is friggin amazing!
Bet them mods used Rif :P
Debian is stable. Arch is bleeding edge and vanilla. if you want something on arch you got to install it and follow the arch wiki
This would suck ass. Meta would then buy up the #fediverse shares or do some kinda huge stake in it. then kill it off then we are back to facebook and twitter! How do we stop this?
No it’s not that. Lots of us never interacted with that sub. Just block them no need to defederate a while instance
I checked Reddit today. Of course from old reddit. It’s literally crap. Not cause I hate reddit now but the first 50 some frontpage subs just sucked. I’m glad I deleted my account
Leaving Reddit was a bad breakup for a lot of us. Like leaving an Ex that used to beat you all the time, but you don’t want to go
@Varyag Kbin and lemmy got to start somewhere, right? they have tools to combat the bots but the bots and the people making them are smart also. it’s an ongoing cat and mouse game. Twitter been around for a decade and had a huge bot problem that never went away. Reddit same thing. Lemmy and kbin are no different. once something is popular the bots will come. We just gotta make sure we do our part and report them!
Kbin is everything wrapped into one. Threads = Post like Reddit, Microblogging = Like Twitter/Mastodon Magazines = Subreddits. Everything is perfect!
Most people like me came to lemmy when they first left reddit and it was just there. my first instance was lemmy.ml and they where having issues so i went to lemmy.world and it was amazing. i kept hearing about kbin but they where having issues also. eventually kbin was stable and now i’m here for the long haul. lemmy has basic features like subs and you can subscribe and create post etc… kbin has Threads = Reddit Post, Microblogging = Twitter and Magazines = Subreddits all in one service. Make an account and see for yourself. you can have a lemmy account kbin dosen’t matter!
Looks like Infinity! looks promising
I was the founder of a 73k sub API the API rules changed I used Apollo and rif the AMA came decided to protest from the 12th to the 14th came back after the day of the 14th my subscribers said shut it down. I shut it down then u/spez did that leaked memo then I decided to delete my 350k 6 years front page 5x account. It was tuff but I got kbin, Lemmy and Mastodon to help me fill the void. Yes I know I only need one account but it’s a personal preference l!
Memmy and Liftoff you can block communities. I haven’t checked titles or words yet. usually the reddit talk is the communities itself
