Went to an interview
The team for this job is whiter than snow
Sat and waited super patiently for the interview to begin (because of course they were late. Seems common).
Had the interview.
Told I will get a phone call with an answer tomorrow.
Less than 90 minutes later, I get an email saying they chose someone else.
Why do I feel like this is a case of them already having picked a candidate but still wasting time anyway?

btw, the manager for this job has “dick” in her surname so at least I got to chuckle at that. I’m mentally 12.
I mean nepotism and cronyism has been far and away the best way to get a job. Get out there and “network” aka make light friends/acquaintances with a ton of people. Make sure they know (or at least think) you’re good at your job and dedicated, and sooner or later someone will be at a company that needs to hire someone.
