Hi,

recently, I got a new Ducky One 3 for a discount. It is really solid so far, but I can’t get it to work pre-boot with my Thinkpad T480. There are no such problems with my Sharkoon Purewriter or other keyboards.

Has anyone an idea what could be done about that?

Tried to disable n-key-rollover, updated the BIOS, enabled and disabled the legacy USB option. There are no USB 2.0 ports on this PC.

I am a bit mad about that problem because my partition is encrypted. And it would be really helpful to have a working keyboard to enter the password.

What a strange issue. Have you tried plugging the keyboard in after booting? What about using a powered USB hub?

Jup, nothing helped. Maybe a faulty device? I contacted the dealer for a replacement. Will report here if anything changes. Strange issue for sure.

I’ve had similar issues with QMK VIA-enabled keyboards with a Lenovo dock but it would occur when I plug the keeb on USB 2.0 ports. Switching to USB 3.0 solved it for me. Reflashing without VIA and nkey roll over support also fixed it from what i remember.
