What country are you in? I’m guessing it depends on that? Might be able to make a will giving them to someone you trust. My local cat sanctuary is REALLY good so they know to take mine if anything happens to me, they treat the cats with great care

Yeah but how do I notify? I feel like there should be a set of instructions attached to a central chip-id profile accessible to all who scan it.

I’ve got my best friend to do that. Are your babies chipped? It may be possible to add it to that something? Who handles you’re estate when you pass?

I have a will and an executor who I know would take care of them once notified but I’m thinking of those first days after police find our bodies and send someone to check the address on the DL. If they find two hungry dogs in the house, I’d like to have a full set of instructions tied to their chips.

I’m definitely going to research this ASAP.

Maybe add a note to your refrigerator and a card to your wallet, saying “hi, I have these pets. If I’m unable to take care of them please tell So-and-So at phone#. Their vet is blah.”
