I do a 5 heart scale. 5 is my absolute favorites. 4 is my favorites who I always love but not as intensely. 3 is one I really like and wouldn’t mind picking. 2 is ones I like but aren’t always my favorite choice. 1 is basically like “i’ve always liked them” even if I don’t right now. and no hearts is, like, I “had to” chose them.

So, I actually only go up to two hearts, maximum.
Two is like “top-tier favorite”.
One is more or less “high-tier favorite”.
No hearts is a “mid-tier” like of mine.
Anything lower, I just leave off.
