House guest put my chefs knife back without drying it first (or cleaning it properly). Now I have rust on my knife and rust on my magnetic knive strip where I keep them. Even when he’s gone, I keep finding gifts… I promise I will get over this, I just have to process.

Worked in my yard today. Started dethatching, with a rake not a machine, hopefully finish tomorrow. Going to overseed with dutch white clover.

I am going to wake up sore tomorrow, but I think it’s worth it.

Ooft, twice I’ve had my good frying pan ruined by a friend while staying at my flat for cat-sitting. I was about to write that if I’d have someone stay over now while I was away I’d hide all the good pans and utensils, but tbh I wouldn’t let anyone stay in the flat anymore without us around.

A fairly good day today, shame that the weather was cold and windy and grey though. We went cycling with the SO, rode through a forest where there are nice sand/gravel roads just perfect for riding. Stopped at a lean-to shelter for a coffee. I’m glad we have these areas nearby, it’s the best to brew a good cup of coffee in the nature! Also that particular area is my favorite place to go for a couple-hour ride.

After coming back we cooked a nice dinner and watched a movie. Feeling a little bit sad that our mini-holiday is now over.

There is no getting over someone using your knives and not cleaning and drying them properly. I had this happen two weeks ago and spent 30 minutes reprofiling the edge.

Old partner and I had ‘guest knives and wine glasses’ to stave this off.

    My condolences

Trying to practice some radical acceptance that it’s okay my birthday yesterday sucked and there’s nothing anyone could’ve done about any of it. I know shit just happens sometimes and it’s a pretty trite problem, but it still kinda hurt that everything that could go wrong seemed to. I kinda wish I could just delete the day and move on like it never happened.

My condolences I fell like if i ever had my own place i would just never have guests because things like that would make me crazy. I have spent my day so far playing way too much SrarCraft 2 wishing i could drag someone into playing some with me. Wishing i could afford something anything to have a new hobby to distract myself with. Instead i will probably just doomscroll job listings again. maybe one day i will belong somewhere and not be poor and stuff.
