@dpunked There’s currently one dedicated space, but a lot of bars and cafes have a selection of board games, and there are board game groups that meet weekly at different bars around town.
sounds cool! We have some boardgame shops that have some get-togethers once every weekend. These are nice but most that we have gone to have a very limited selection of games.
@dpunked There is fairly robust tabletop scene (both board games and TTRPGs) in Madison, Wisconsin where I live, with like 9 game stores in the immediate metro area, and they almost all have game spaces and nights. I used to go quite regularly to the Tuesday night Beers & Board Games group, but my kid’s activities make that difficult now. That group had a fair amount of designers attend, and they’d sometimes bring prototypes with them for playtesting, several of which eventually got published.
