I stumbled across the existence of this thing today and I am morbidly fascinated. Apparently the creator claims that he intended this to be “thought provoking” and promote “tough conversations” in order to “heal the division in the USA” or something. From what I can tell its a trivia game about bigoted stereotypes with the occasional card that tells the players to debate statements like “Black Lives Matter is a hate group” and “Civilian casualties during attempted drone strikes on terror groups are unfortunate but should not deter the US from continuing its war on terror”.
The game doesn’t appear to be particularly successful, which might be why its advertised as a gag gift. All of the long form reviews appear to be paid advertisements and the Amazon ratings are all stuff like “I’m racist conservative and my somewhat less racist liberal friends love this game!” or “this game has a clear left bias and isn’t racist conservative enough.” There are a couple of podcasts that played this game on air but most of that seems to just be people pretending to enjoy it to own the libs. None of these things really explain what its like when this shows up to game night.
So has anyone here encountered/been subjected to this game?
(Not sure if I needed to mark NSFW here but I did just to be on the safe side)
