I’ve been considering it also lately. Either the instance grew or the userbase just changed somehow or maybe I only just noticed but LW just feels like it’s culture is way shittier recently.
So many new users default to it so it just attracts all those newcomers and trolls. It’s sad to do because there’s a lot of good people and discussions on the instance. But more and more I just feel like discussions are becoming more and more annoying and a waste of time because it just leads nowhere. I don’t mind the decrease in posts personally. I prefer quality over quantity personally.

A hundred percent so. Lots of people want Lemmy to grow but I think we’re already huge, so much so I feel the need to trim some of the fat.
