In the hours following former President Donald Trump’s election victory, Google searches related to 4B — a fringe South Korean feminist movement that made a name for itself in the mid to late 2010s — surged in the United States.

This will just be used as a talking point for the right. Although I will say I’m reluctant to believe that anyone is really doing this in any kind of significant number.

I’m sure that’s what they thought in South Korea too.

I for one think it’s a fantastic idea. Starve the beast of more slaves.

But if it’s only the women on the left who are doing it, doesn’t that mean the next generation of Americans will only come from from Republican parents? Sounds pretty counterproductive, if you’ll excuse the pun.

This seems really close to saying that women’s only purposes is as broodmares.

They won’t be enough to meet replacement levels or grow their precious white christian population. Which for the moment is more than enough schadenfreude for me.

Talk about cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face.

Think about the future you’re describing. The vast majority of young adults will be indoctrinated by the Republican party. Since there’s a shortage of workers in general, there will be a shortage of healthcare workers for elderly people (like I hope to become). No public healthcare (since the majority of the population is Republican), and not enough young people to keep social security afloat. I don’t want that, and I don’t think most people on the left do either.

That’s your future whether you like it or not. And while we’re on the subject. Don’t make long term plans. With Chump’s election any minuscule hope we had of slowing down apocalyptic climate catastrophe went up in smoke. Very few of us are gonna die of old age.

The ACA is going away. Mike Johnson already said so. Social Security will be bankrupt by 2030. Best you can hope for is a Tesla robot to bring you your meals in the resthome.

The US is likely heading into war soon, too.

I am so curious how I will die. Lot of options now. Not just boring old age.

Normally we count people’s age by how many years they’ve lived. But if we count our age from time of death, backwards, everyone on the planet is pretty much the same age now. And on hospice.

Sounds like you’re hoping for an apocalypse. Trump distanced himself from Project 2025 because he knew it wouldn’t be popular with his voters. We’ll see how much of it is actually supported by the majority of Republicans.

I don’t think the upper class and upper-middle class will suffer that much, besides the obvious loss of liberty. And they aren’t taking away liberties that are popular among Republicans. Climate change isn’t going to kill us all, but it will make this world even more dystopic.

There will be a midterm election in 2 years, and the Republicans will have far less power of they don’t control the house and senate. We can still control the damage. Like I said, this is like cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face.

Have you considered that, when a woman ponders to have sex and/or have children, they may not care about what YOU want?

I wasn’t trying to imply that women have any sort of duty to have children, I’m sorry if it came off that way. But the reality is that Republicans are having more children than Democrats, and that means most young people will be indoctrinated by the Republican party. I don’t mean to be presumptuous, but I don’t think most women on the left want the majority of young adults to be Republicans in 20 years. Right now we have roughly a 50/50 split between parties, which most people don’t seem happy about. It could get worse.

Still, the idea that women (or men even) need to/have any moral imperative to breed in order to increase the support for their party is madness.

If it gets to 80% Republicans and people still vote for it… Let them have/suffer it.

It just seems miserable :( don’t fuck the shitheads, absolutely, but don’t deprive yourself of a normal life to try and beat someone who won’t care.

Don’t have kids though - fully with everyone on that. Best for everyone, especially the kids.
