I’m thinking of get myself a second hand ThinkPad to slap an Arch on it, but don’t know if is better get it now or wait (how much?) for the windows 11 apocalypse and get a better one, possibly cheaper.
I’m fine… I only have three.
I wish I went with a new T14 AMD instead of a Framework.

Poor fit and finish, difficult-to-reproduce USB problems, no physical trackpad buttons, among others

I hear a lot on here about people getting used laptops for linux, can anyone point me in a direction to look for something that can be generally functional
I got my used laptop that now has linux on it from shopgoodwill.com I am in the US, so ymmv
Ebay. Get a reconditioned one with the specs you need.
