The sexist assholes were driving away women, so the separate league was to allow women to compete without (or with less) hostility.
I just don’t understand this shit but it seems to happen with all sorts of games: Why the fuck do people care what gender players have? Like, why!? Just play the game and stop worrying about other people. Damn.
It isn’t a game specific issue. It is a general social problem that is easier to observe in sports because of the historical exclusion of women from most high profile sports.
Yeah, that’s a pretty good observation.
