    Why does it matter what the US says? Is the US allies or even friendly with either of these countries?

      Sanctions hurt citizens of the country they are put upon and the US has a lot of sway and say on who gets the sanctioning, so there’s a real threat behind their words

      Yes, pakistan is currently one of many of uncle sam’s “private property” which he bought with cheap bribe money.

      Don’t really know why this is news because Pakistan basically refused to build several pipelines with Iran even after agreeing to terms just to avoid sanctions, like 2 decades ago.

      It’d make sense if the government actually had a plan to renew the idea, but the only person that would have entertained the idea was thrown in jail.

    Welp, the US is going to have it blown up within 9 months; probs by ISIS while they hem and haw like “well we need an internationally-sanctioned investigation into this (whose investigator will be a fox from OUR henhouse)”. Just like Nord Stream.
