I heard on bbc this morning they are trying to force the ultra Orthodox Jews into the military, which is against their religious views. I briefly looked online, and many orthodox are anti Zionist as well (although many do support Israel as a country in general)

Netanyahu is grasping at power so he can avoid his ongoing prosecution for corruption and fraud.
