There’s no free press anywhere. The British press in the 1800s was owned by the merchants. When China banned opium sales, the merchants used their ownership of the press to publish lies and build the case for war, this beginning the opium wars. One merchant who sold opium had the last name of Forbes. Forbes magazine today can trace its founding directly to the money the Forbes family amassed by selling addictive drugs to China.

Julian Assange will die in the US if he is extradited for telling the truth about US war crimes that the US media refuses to publish. The US military intelligence community has lines of control into every major news company, which is how the case for war is built every single time. US military intelligence also has full editorial control over any and all movies that use military equipment, locations, or uniforms. They have used that control to change entire narratives.

When international journalists expose European and American oligarchic crimes, they get murdered. Remember the Panama Papers journalist died to a car bomb.

The idea that Chinese reporting is less trustworthy than White reporting is just orientalism.

So the fact that the USA kills and imprisons people who talk about certain topics isn’t enough for you? You have to imagine that in China the state has complete and total control over what people talk about? That’s why this is orientalism. The US does more domestic spying, more journalistic manipulation, has more vigilante justice murdering people for espousing certain topics, and China is the place that you can’t trust because they repress counter revolutionary activities in former and current Western proxies like Hong Kong and Taiwan?
