Ahoy Mateys ! I am a big fan of watching soccer (or football), and usually I would just turn on my PC, look for reddit soccer stream, and watch thus way. However, I recently invested in an Nvidia shield (the stick), and was wondering if there was a way for me to watch the games directly on it, without turning on my PC? I already have a VPN, and use Jellyfin as well. Thank you in advance !

You could consider paying for an IPTV service. They range in price, from cheap Alibaba resellers to more expensive, higher quality providers. But if live sports is your thing, it might be worth trying.

Many provide a trial connection, so dig around and find a few and try it. Might be what you’re looking for.

The shield is a great client for it btw.

Yes, if you want to use the stick, Pm me if you’d like to talk about a reliable IPTV service (every sports and PPV). I suppose your other option would be to cast/mirror to your stick from your phone.

Certain VPNs might be better for this than others. Does yours use wireguard?

I’m not experienced with nvidia shield, but in my raspberry pi I use Kodi with the Daddy Live addon. I believe you can install Kodi in the shield, so maybe that’s an option.

Sideload Firefox onto the shield and install ublock. You want the normal android version not the android TV one. Connect a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse and use the sites you’d use on your pc.
