what kind of heat would a lightsaber generate at that range?
None.
Depends on the source of course, but supposedly the blade gives up no heat itself. Only when it comes in contact with something does it heat it up. Similar to microwave ovens which don’t generate heat themselves but heat up stuff put into them.
