Is there really no other word apart from SLAM that those “journalists” (or perhaps AI bots) are taught to use? Just one other goddamned word? I’m so tired of everyone and their mother slamming everyone else all the time…

It’s a great word! It basically means “this article is poorly written and not worth your time”

Not one that editors will let through, no. Remember, most news articles are written for a roughly sixth grade reading level.

Fair enough, but I automatically wince whenever I see “X Nobel Prize winning-Ys endorse/reject Z”, because as often as not, it’s nonsense…

They didn’t endorse or reject his agenda. They slammed it. Presumably into a table or something.

Out of all the journalist ai models the slam model appears to be the cheapest at the moment the blasts model was popular for a time but is slightly more expensive than the slams model, there is of course the condemns model which is pretty expensive but is for more experienced journalists since only real journalists can afford the best model to do journalism for them /s
