(Hyuk, hyuk…”flat earth”. Some people will throw whatever they think works when they’re emotional…)
pissedatyall@lemmynsfw.comto[Dormant] moved to !space@mander.xyz@lemmy.world•Elon Musk just gave another Mars speech—this time the vision seems tangible3·1 year agoLet’s be REALLY clear here:
Let’s be clear what we are discussing here
presenting yourself like you actually have any clue at all about space - which Melon Husk clearly has not
Define “clue”.
Is it an awareness of space? I think we all have that, Musk included. I’ve had college-level physics classes as well, but I’d never suggest I’m a scientist.
Is it a facility to manage the creation of a space program, do the technical analysis and direct its operations towards success? Of course he can’t do all that - he writes checks to those that can. He points, and like the poodle he is, expects others to do the dirty work so he can take the credit. SpaceX isolates him from those decisions.
Serious bub - waving the Elon flag in this day and age; it’s not a good look. Sycophants are a dime a dozen these days, and you don’t want to join that club.

As founder he can point the way, but he’s not doing any science himself.
When you show us him plotting trajectories or doing mass calcuations, then we’re finally talking about the same thing. Right now, he writes checks and points; a rich Schnauzer could do the same.

Wharton is great for a business degree - but otherwise its focus is in “‘Executive Education’ - which involved custom learning experiences that lead to academic enrichment, however with no standing.“ (emphasis mine)
If you look at a list of its allumni, you’ll quickly see it’s a rich persons club. Mostly CEOs, not discoverers or scientists.

But Russia and China think it’s better to use Gazans a political pawns in the upcoming US elections, so surprise, surprise - some would disagree.

pissedatyall@lemmynsfw.comto Movies@lemmy.world•Millennials, Gen-Z Want Original Movies and TV, Not Remakes — SurveyEnglish3·1 year agoSeverance is excellent and exceptional. It’s also AppleTV+, where it’s more likely than not you’ll see actors that resemble people in real life (and when it’s not, it’s Ghosted and shit). And they generally don’t do remakes.
If anything, they’re the exception and not the rule.
pissedatyall@lemmynsfw.comto Movies@lemmy.world•Millennials, Gen-Z Want Original Movies and TV, Not Remakes — SurveyEnglish41·1 year agoAbsolutely not. This is how we got to “my James Bond is better than your James Bond”-style of thinking.
Every new gen wants their own thing. Every new gen thinks the last gen was lame. Business takes old gen shit and add new gen actor/actress/good looking person, adds old gen shit and then resells the new gen its own version. This is why every show is full of pretty people and nothing new.

At one point spokes people were all men… And nowadays, even the most evil companies push the women out front so that they can be a bit more evil for a just a little bit longer before the shit hits the fan.
Basically evil people, male and female, will still do the same shit, lying dishonest job, so long as they are paid for it. We just cut the women a lot more slack.
Little. Just a normal guy but the big one? It’s like throwing a hotdog down a hallway.
