What’s the app/smart device adoption like for jellyfin these days? Plex usage for clients is really smooth. Plex comes preloaded on so many smart devices and the app ecosystem is dead simple. I can’t imagine having to walk my family and friends through setting up jellyfin.

I use it to vet ideas, concepts, approaches, and paradigms. It’s amazing for rubber ducking. I don’t use it for wholesale code gen though.
And as a documentation companion it’s pretty rad. Not always right but generally gets things in the correct direction.

The factors that influence development costs in order to keep up with the quality of the times is no doubt complex, but at the end of the day you’re spot on. It’s only worth what the consumers will pay.
I do most of my reading on my Kindle. The convenience and portability wins out for me. Also large books are unwieldy in physical form.
Just because something is (or pretends to be) hard sci-fi doesn’t make it well written even if you ignore the major character flaws. The concepts the first book explores aren’t even that amazing. This is one of the most over-hyped sci-fi books of all time.
I didn’t really love reading until I hit my 20s. A Brief History of Time really did it for me.
Hiding behind the perspective of hard sci-fi doesn’t make this a good book.

That’s not the article title.

It’s not a big task, and doesn’t take much time. Self hosting is ridiculously easy. There are so many easily deployable containerized git hosting images ready to roll.
Disagree. Midjourney pumps out a ton of good stuff.

Aside from being in the same universe, what’s the connection? There’s no story impact that I can see.

This is an outdated take. Modern zoos play important roles in species preservation. Also public outreach and perception does wonders for conservation efforts worldwide.
Lemmy is retarded about AI.
I’m struggling to get through the first book. The writing is just downright bad.
This is neat!
