  • They’re right, though. You don’t need to worry about it, just like you don’t need to worry about anything else.

What you need to do, just like with any other horrible thing that happens, is to either begin the grieving process of accepting it as reality or do whatever you are willing to do to help stopping it.

If you choose to fight any reality, It’s good to first evaluate what the most effective thing you can do to change it. For example, as someone who has no wealth, power, social skills or influence beyond a few small mostly online communities, I decided to do (what i consider) my civic duty through memetic warfare and positive interactions.

Not that I’m a great example or anything, just the closest example I have of a nobody trying to do something. I decided against making memes meant for people who already agree with them. Instead, my objective has been to make memes that bring people together and help them see the humanity in those they have dehumanized. I could go on about why I decided on this strategy and the tactics I use, but it’s not really the point.

The point is if you think about what the best way to apply your skill set, traits and resources to a problem, despite your efforts only helping marginally, it’ll add up more than if you just worry. Plus, you’ll know you’re working towards the world you want.

Don’t worry. Think, consider, evaluate, and then act.

edit: Oh, also… forgot to say. Great username. :)
