  • Ongoing:

    • DepartQ: This is a really fun show… Brits do love thier cop shows but this one is firing on all cylinders.
    • Dope Girls: I am on the fifth episode and it is very good. It is very much knock-Off Stephen Knight show, though.
    • A Thousand Blows: The story is getting pretty thin, but true to form with all Stephen Knight shows the cast is what carries the show. Erin Doherty is spectacular, and Stephen Graham is his usual excellence. I am loving this show but it is Stephen Knight 101, paper thin story, great dialogue constant blaring out of context music.
    • Andor: Tonight I will watch Episode 7 or 8 and what is there to say. I do not want this show too end and every episode is better than the last.
    • Into The Storm. It is a docuseries that uses multiple cameras to show you natural disasters. It is short on information and long on destruction porn.

    New Shows:

    • High Country: I made it about one episode in. I usually give a show three episodes but good lord this show is like watching molasses flow in winter.
    • Alien Earth: I did the first two episodes and it isn’t working for me. I am going to give it one more before I decide. I suspect my issue with this show is that I am just done with all things Alien.

    Discontinued:

    • Smoke: MEH…is the best I can say about this.
    • Reality of The Biggest Looser: There is nothing to it, there is nothing there.

  • The Earths Children book Series by Jean Auel.

The first book is called The Clan of The Cave Bear and it is much more of an adventure book the later books lean more heavy into the romance. I read the first three or four and I am not going to lie, the third and fourth one has some straight up pornographic parts.

The basic story is about an orphaned cro-magnum girl who is raised by neaderthals, and as she grows up she becomes a self reliant powerful women. The books use the culture of the two worlds their tools and etc as parts of the story.

If it is accurate I can not say. I really enjoyed the first three books but the series had run its course for me by the fourth one.
