Control is like this for me. It’s already a pretty lengthy game if you aim to complete all the side missions and collect everything, but there’s definitely a point where it hits a wall, and it’s like, “Whelp, I got all the documents, records, files, outfits, etc. I really want to play more but there’s nothing more to do.”

Happy New Year! I do love Subnautica myself, and I’m actually working on a building/creative playthrough rn with the large rooms that I’ve never used before, for fun (so much titanium!). And if nothing else, I’m assuming you bought the game before the whole… whatever is going on right now with all that. You are clear to enjoy.

A friend finally convinced me to try out Dark Souls. I’m not too far in, and I’m not having a bad time per se, but I am having a little trouble getting into it and caring about why I’m hacking and slashing everything. Maybe I just haven’t got enough lore yet. Though I do like seeing the other players’ messages and their “ghosts” running around, that’s fun.

Man, this movie has one of the best soundtracks.

I was driving through the country on a somewhat stormy day, when I happened to glance over and saw a bolt hit in the middle of a field I was next to. My immediate thought was “Oh, this is going to be LOUD.” A split second later, it was, like feel it in your chest loud. It was a such a weird physical feeling too, like a sudden buzz or tingling all over, I’m not sure how else to describe it. The cat I had with me did not like it at all, she wouldn’t stop crying for a good thirty minutes before she settled back down.

Finished Diablo 3 Season 36. I was really hoping to fully fill out the Altar of Rites this time, but for the life of me and my necromancer, I could not get Ramaladni’s Gift to drop. Oh well. This week I’ll finally be starting Diablo 4’s new season in-between Thief runs (yes, I’m still obsessed, lol).

If I’m by myself, I’m either eating or knitting. But if I’m with someone or in a theater, then nothing.

I have! It’s a really great game and I love it too. That’s probably why I’m having such a good time with Thief, since the gameplay is very similar. I’ve only really played 1 though; I did play Dishonored 2 once, but I couldn’t get into it like I did the first. I still need to play Death of the Outsider.

I’ve been absolutely obsessed with the 2014 reboot of Thief over the past couple weeks. I’m having so much fun just sneaking around and stealing stuff and finding new hidey holes lol. It’s making me really want to try out the older games. I don’t know how I slept on it for so long because it’s been great.

Last week I played through Ryse: Son of Rome, and I was pleasantly surprised in how much I enjoyed it, especially for a rather QTE heavy game.

Right now I’m working through Fobia: St. Dinfna Hotel, and man there is so much backtracking for puzzles and lockboxes and whatnot. But it’s been fun, and basically feels like a first person Resident Evil game, at least atmosphere wise.

I’m working on Diablo 4 Season 9. I wasn’t hearing great things about this season at first, so I held off for a few days until some patches came out, but I have to admit, I’m kind of having fun so far. I have an actual reason to do nightmare dungeons again, and personally, I kinda like the reliquary cosmetics this time around. I’m going with a Druid build, which is a class I honestly haven’t touched since season 1, and it’s not too bad so far.

As much as I absolutely love Lies of P, I’ve been holding off since I’ve been hearing about a lot of bugs. Sounds like I maybe need to wait for another patch, unless the patch they released a week or two ago is the only one.

Dead Space 3. Sure, it has some issues, but I didn’t realize how much others actively disliked it until I tried talking to people about it.
