Goddammit. I loved this show. I wanted one more season.
I was hoping for one more season as well, I was excited to see more of Catherine without Peter. But Nicholas Hoult’s departure would have been a tougher watch, so it makes sense.
Me too, but at the same time it would be hard to watch without Peter.

It wasn’t exactly flattering to the Russian monarchy (and most monarchies) and the lead was of Prussian birth.
We loved season 1, but hated how far it departed from history. They should have kept it plausible. But also agree with someone else here, it became repetitive and slow.
Too bad, I guess. I liked this show but I also let my Hulu subscription lapse A few months ago with no real consequence to my overall happiness.
It was wrapped up pretty well. I honestly couldn’t see it continuing after the season 3 finale.
I stopped part way through season 3 as it was getting pretty repetitive, shame they couldn’t make it work.
